Born on July 30, 1951, in Wadduwa, Sri Lanka, Kingsley Gunatillake is an award-winning visual artist, pioneer of installation and book art, and a dedicated educator.Over a career spanning more than four decades, Gunatillake has maintained a dual commitment to studio practice and higher education.Since holding his first solo exhibition at the Lionel Wendt Gallery in Colombo in 1981, Gunatillake has presented over 24 solo exhibitions and participated in more than 48 major group shows globally
